OUR LOVE STORY
Greg and Ashley’s friendship go back to early childhood! We’re talking 1 and 3 years old young. Both of their families attended Good Shepherd church in Chicago, where all the kids around the same age stuck together. Greg’s mom and Ashley’s grandmother both served at church, so Greg and Ashley frequently stayed after service when most other kids already left. That also meant they had to attend all the functions, and try not to be bored, so they found ways to hang out and have fun.
Welp, as the teenage years hit, Greg found baseball and other teenage things, and went his way. Shortly after, Ashley lost her grandmother and mother, and also stopped attending church. Life took them on their own journey for 25 years.
On March 12th of 2021, Greg and Ashley “bumped into each other” thanks to Facebook Dating. Greg shot his shot and Ashley doubled back to say ‘Hey! Don’t I know you from church or school or somewhere???’. Greg looks again and says ‘Holy Sh!t, it is you!’ They went on their first date on March 21st of 2021 and have been inseparable since!
Greg proposed to Ashley on December 26, 2023; and the couple is delighted to have you witness their eternal union.
